Academic Bldg (55)

End Date: July 31, 2025 | 3:00 PM
The two main passenger elevators in Academic Building (55) are out of service. Several repair attempts to elevator 1 have failed and now components of elevator 2 have failed. Both elevators have operated beyond their useful life and replacement parts are no longer available. All components of both elevators need to be replaced which will take several months due to lead times on the components as well as the time it takes to perform the replacements. During this time, the small passenger elevator to the left of the main elevators, as well as the freight elevator towards the back of the building, will remain operational. Thank you for your patience during this extended replacement.

Towers Hall

Facilities will be conducting a water service shutdown to Floors 6 and above in Towers Hall on Thursday, January 2, and Friday, January 3, 2025, for required maintenance. Residential students are being messaged separately with options. Updates will be shared as they become available.
