Research led by Leah Schinasi, PhD, an assistant professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, showing that Philadelphia communities that were subject to redlining are now the neighborhoods most vulnerable to extreme heat, was mentioned in a July 27 WHYY story about urban heat islands in the city.
