Managed Medicare Plans Fall Short at Cutting Unnecessary Imaging and Other Low-Value Care

Sungchul Park, PhD, an assistant professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a March 17 Health Imaging article about a new analysis showing that managed Medicare plans have not had a significant effect on decreasing low-value care—including imaging and cancer screenings—compared to traditional fee-for-service plans.
