Air Quality Contributes To Stroke Risk, Study Finds

Longjian Liu, MD, PhD, associate professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, was the lead author of a study that explored pollution and climate change as factors for stroke risk.

In the Feb. 17 Newsweek story, Liu explained that his findings were a clear indication that air quality is a public health issue, and he believes the study should be a wake-up call to policymakers.
