American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting and Expo
The American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting and Expo is one of the largest gatherings of public health professionals globally. It brings together researchers, practitioners, educators, policymakers, students, and advocates in the field of public health.
Each year the meeting serves as a platform for Dornsife faculty, students, and staff to network, share research findings, and advance conversations around improving the health and well-being of populations worldwide.
Participants have the opportunity to attend a wide range of sessions, workshops, poster presentations, and keynote speeches covering various public health topics.
The 2024 APHA Annual Meeting and Expo will take place in Minneapolis, MN from October 27 - 30, 2024. The theme is "Rebuilding Trust in Public Health and Science."
APHA plans to open registration in June 2024.

APHA 2023
The American Public Health Association’s (APHA) 2023 Annual Meeting and Expo took place from November 12 - 15, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme year was "Creating the Healthiest Nation: Overcoming Social and Ethical Challenges."

APHA 2022
The APHA 2022 Annual Meeting and Expo took place from November 6 - 9, 2022, in Boston, Massachusetts.
The theme was "150 Years of Creating the Healthiest Nation: Leading the Path Toward Equity."
Dornsife faculty, students, and staff presented their research, participated in panel discussions, and networked throughout the week.

APHA 2021
From October 24-27, 2021, faculty, staff, and students from Dornsife presented their work at multiple sessions at APHA's 2021 Annual Meeting and Expo in Denver, Colorado.
The theme was "Creating the Healthiest Nation: Strengthening Social Connectedness." APHA 2021 had hybrid online/in-person schedule that allowed for more participation from the virtual audience, and networking time for both virtual and in-person attendees.
Many faculty, staff, and students had their work featured at the event. Mariana Chilton, PhD, a professor and director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities at Dornsife, presented on essential factors for achieving lasting food and nutrition security. She discussed how the solution is not more charity food but abolition.
On Monday of APHA, Dornsife co-sponsored this year's APHA Day of Action: Public Health for Public Safety. Attendees virtually toured downtown Denver to observe and discuss the determinants and consequences of racism and public safety inequities in Denver, and heard from the community leaders and programs that are successfully working towards solutions.
Amy Carroll-Scott, PhD, MPH helped to plan this day of action once again. Attendees created buzz on Twitter, and Carroll-Scott shared a framework of public health for public safety by Denver's Task Force to Reimagine Policing and Public Safety.

Dornsife staff also took part in this year’s exhibition virtually at booth # 134. Virtual visitors could view curated content including videos, student stories and learn more about undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs at Dornsife.

APHA 2020
APHA's 2020 Annual Meeting and Expo took place virtually from October 24-28, 2020.

APHA 2019
The theme of the American Public Health Association’s (APHA) 2019 Annual Meeting and Expo was "Creating the Healthiest Nation: For Science. For Action. For Health." Dornsife School of Public Health faculty and students presented their work at over 100 sessions and held pre-meeting events in Philadelphia from November 2-6, 2019.
