PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
“Holistic nursing practice is the science, art, and the ‘creative fire’ where holistic nurses uncover, recover, support and celebrate the creative self” ~ Barbara Dossey
Holistic Nursing is a precise body of knowledge, philosophy of care and practice that is unique, yet complementary to contemporary nursing practice that integrates caring, healing, and the dynamics of holism and unity. For many holistic nurses, nursing is not only a profession but a calling and a way of being in the world. They understand the importance of healing environments, relationship-centered care, presence, intention, and the human spirit in healing.
This self-paced course will prepare you for the Holistic Nursing Certification Exam. The course offers a focused study of the Scope and Standards of Holistic Nurse Practice, and builds on this foundation with specific nursing theories and essential competencies that are vital in the emerging paradigm of holistic health.
