Some of Sitecore's tools and functions are disabled by default. The following settings can be enabled to improve and quicken certain Sitecore workflows.

• Enable the Sitecore Gutter: Quickly see pages and items that are locked by you or another user, pages and items in draft state, and unpublished pages and items.
• View Hidden Items: It is possible to "hide" pages or items from the content tree while still keeping them published. This enabled their visibility in the tree even if "hidden."
• Enable the Quick Info Section: Adds a section to the top of every page and item which displays useful information like the item's path in Sitecore and its Item ID.
