Innovation Driving the Future of Research

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) in partnership with the Graduate College and Office of Research hosted the 2nd Annual Drexel Emerging Graduate Scholars Conference, a free student-run University-wide conference highlighting Drexel's most innovative and interdisciplinary graduate research. The theme of the 2018 conference was Innovation Driving the Future of Research. All students, faculty, professional staff, alumni and friends of the University were invited to attend!

This full-day conference provided opportunities for graduate students to showcase their research to those outside of their academic discipline, participate in professional development and career workshops, and network with colleagues and professionals across diverse fields. The Emerging Graduate Scholars Conference also offered the University community the opportunity to learn more about the innovative and problem-solving research of Drexel's brightest and most promising graduate students.

Conference Highlights

• Keynote speaker, Dr. Youngmoo Kim, Director of the ExCITe Center and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Drexel University
• Graduate student research poster presentations and oral research presentations
• Three Minute Thesis Competition (based on the international 3MT(®) competition)
• Professional development and career workshops for graduate-level skills and strategies
• Networking and awards reception
