Robin Klehr Avia’s New Currency of Space

As chair of the board at global design firm Gensler, Robin Klehr Avia has built a 36-year-long career on bringing sustainable design concepts to a multitude of businesses, including retail, aviation, sports, brand strategy, hospitality and education. Her projects have won numerous design awards, including Business Week’s “Architectural Record Award” and the International Interior Design Association’s “Decade of Design Award.” The Department of Architecture and Interiors’ Arfaa Lecture Series will host Robin Klehr Avia and her presentation, “THE NEW CURRENCY OF SPACE: What’s Influencing the Design of Environments Today,” on Tuesday, April 9, 6:30 p.m at the Mandell Theater at 33rd and Chestnut streets. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Currently, Robin is Principal-in-Charge of the Conde Nast move to One World Plaza and the Mexico City flagship department store for El Palacio de Hierro. Her award-winning work, such as The New York Times Headquarters, has appeared in numerous publications, including Interior Design, Contract, Architectural Record, World Architecture, and multiple international design publications.
