Jaeyoon Jeong, a native of Seoul, South Korea, brings to the Graduate Fashion
Design program well honed skills in tailoring, patternmaking and design, and production
management he developed during his years as creative director of Jaeyoon Jeong Collection,
LLC. His management of his two eponymous stores in New York City and his sourcing and
manufacturing connections in Seoul inform the Global Capstone Design Project. Students
from Drexel and Sungkyunkwan University work together to produce a capsule collection.
Drexel students can also take advantage of the Korean manufacturing resources introduced
by Jeong to produce a professional prototype of one of their designs.

Since 2017 Fashion Design Students from SKKU and Drexel have been creating fashion and
accessory collections with an emphasis on sustainable themes. After researching and
choosing a theme, students from both universities work virtually, in groups of three, to realize
a cohesive grouping of work. Alternating visits in the fall, SKKU faculty and student travel
to Drexel and Drexel students travel to SKKU for fashion workshops and group design meetings.

While in South Korea, Drexel students get to experience Korean culture. Above, they dress in
traditional Korean Hanbok costume to enjoy Korean folk dance. Below they learn the craft of
Korean bookmaking.
