Second Year Studies in Fashion Design
The final year of Fashion Design graduate study is geared to realization of a graduate thesis collection focused on
individual research on a particular fashion design problem. In the Professional Portfolio course, the student
creates traditional and digital presentations of work directed to the segment of the industry in
which the student wishes to start their career. CAD Patternmaking and Couture
Techniques courses hone making skills. Business of Fashion or a Design Research elective
deepen the students’ understanding of their thesis focus. Select faculty are
available to advise independent studies in the student‘s area of interest. The
year culminates in the annual student fashion show and attended by industry professionals, the Drexel community, family and
friends.
