Drexel in Italy: American University of Rome (AUR)

Drexel students in their sophomore year or later are invited to spend their Fall term studying at the American University of Rome. With a variety of departments offering classes ranging from Art History to International Relations, this program is perfect for students in any major. This is the perfect chance to truly immerse yourself in the culture of Rome.

Drexel in Italy: Sports Business in Rome at AUR

Drexel students in their sophomore year or later are invited to spend their Fall term studying sports business at the American University of Rome. Through coursework, field trips and exploration of sport venues in Rome, students will learn about the Italian approach to sports while studying with European and American students in a university setting in Rome. This program is open to all majors with priority given to Sports Business students. Though some knowledge of Italian is recommended, students are not required to have taken ITAL 101 before departure, but will be taking an Italian Language course while at AUR.

Drexel in Italy: Design in Florence at Accademia Italiana

Junior Product Design, Fashion Design, and Design & Merchandising program are invited to study in the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance at the Accademia Italiana. With a student body from across the world, the diverse make-up of the Accademia Italiana lends itself to a global design perspective and the exchange of ideas across cultures while exploring the Italian language and experience. To get the most of their experience, students are required to have taken ITAL 101 prior to their study abroad term.

Drexel in Italy: Summer in Florence

The Florence Summer program allows Drexel students to spend six weeks in Florence! There is no language prerequisite in order to be eligible for this program. The program is open toall majors and minors, with an emphasis on Fashion Design, Product Design, andDesign & Merchandising. The program is run in partnership with Accademia Italiana in Florence. Students will be greeted in both cities by local support staff for orientation, which includes tours and other activities.

Drexel in Italy: University of Bologna

Drexel students looking to step into history can spend a term at the University of Bologna, whose founding in 1088 makes it the oldest university in continuous operation. Located in Italy’s “bread basket”, Bologna not only has some of the best food in the country, it’s also known for its storybook-esque beauty and accessibility for students. With a variety of academic focuses available, this exchange program is perfect for an independent sophomore student or above who has a strong grasp of the Italian language (ITAL 101 prerequisite).

Drexel in Florence + London Dual City Summer

The Florence + London Dual City program allows Drexel students to experience two European cities in one term! Through this unique opportunity, students spend 6 weeks in Florence completing 9 credits, and 5 weeks in London, completing 9 credits, for a total of 18 Drexel credits. There is no language prerequisite in order to be eligible for this program. The program is open to all majors and minors, with an emphasis on Fashion Design, Product Design, and Design & Merchandising. The program is run in partnership with Accademia Italiana in Florence and the Foundation for International Education (FIE) in London. Students will be greeted in both cities by local support staff for orientation, which includes tours and other activities.
