Let's Talk

What is Let's Talk? A free, confidential, one-on-one drop-in opportunity to informally consult with a Counseling Center therapist.

Let's Talk does is not take the place of therapy. It is a place where students can talk about whatever is on their mind, ask questions, and seek guidance (e.g., how to start therapy, learn a coping skill, or get better connected with resources in the Drexel community). We help one student at a time, so there may be a brief waiting period to be seen.

Let's Talk Identity

Let's Talk Identity is designed for students whose identities have been historically and systematically marginalized, but is open to all students who want to meet with a therapist committed to belonging, empowerment, and cultural awareness. We honor the difficulties and obstacles that can arise when trying to access care, so we have created this informal, casual space to connect. All students are welcome.

Let's Talk ARC

The Counseling Center will be partnering with the McGonigal Academic Resource Center (ARC) to increase access to speaking with a therapist and learning more about the Counseling Center services. More information to come.

Scheduling a Drop-In

Let's Talk drop-ins will be offered on the following schedule:

  • Wednesdays, 2–4 p.m. in person in the Rush Building, Room 132 (From the main entrance of Rush, make a left and go down a short hallway. Make a right at the end of the hall and room 132 is the second office on the right.)

Additional Information

  • Drop-ins are 15–25 minutes in length.
  • No appointment is needed. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Depending on the number of students requesting to be seen at any one time, we may not have time to meet with everyone. If that occurs, we will follow up with you via email.
  • If you are curious to know more, email counsel@drexel.edu for more information.
  • These appointments are not intended for imminent crises. If you are feeling suicidal, or are in crisis, you may use our 24/7 crisis line if you wish to speak to a licensed clinician at 215.416.3337.
  • Your participation in a drop-in space does not mean you are a client at the Counseling Center.
