10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Stop by the Academy of Natural Sciences to see some of the most surprising and spectacular wonders of the natural world. Enjoy permanent exhibits like Dinosaur Hall and over 35 dioramas. View real specimens up close with our Academy Educators and visit Outside In to meet a few of our Animal Ambassadors. Shuttles will be available from 10am - 2pm picking up in front of the Dragon Statue at 33rd/Market and looping throughout the day. Dragon Card holders always receive free admission, and this weekend only, their guests receive $5 off admission. No advanced registration is required. Card holders should be prepared to show their card upon entry and guests can mention the Move-in Weekend special to receive their discount. |

Students will explore the Drexel campus in small groups using a GIS app on their smartphones to identify and capture features that promote thriving communities. The live map will allow students to observe how geographic space can foster both healthy, and in some cases unhealthy, environments resulting in criminogenic consequences. This session offers a unique opportunity to introduce new students to the principles of criminology and justice. |

The Neuroscience Program College Day Session takes place on Tuesday, September 16, with information session from 9:30a.m. to noon. We'll gather in PISB 107 before embarking on a mini neurotrail walking tour led by current Neuroscience majors, teaching and research assistants who will point out the classrooms, laboratories, and campus brain spots where learning and neuroscience research happens every day. Topics covered include data acquisition and management, authorship, peer review, mentor-mentee relationships, research misconduct, and the protection of human and animal subjects. Through case studies and interactive discussion, participants will explore real-world ethical dilemmas and learn strategies to uphold integrity in their research practices. Face-to-face training is required for all individuals as assigned by their school, college or program, as well as all trainees, fellows, participants, and scholars receiving support through any NIH training, career development award (individual or institutional), research education grant, and dissertation research grant. Face-to-face RCR training is also strongly recommended for undergraduate and graduate level students, as well as faculty, who plan to conduct research, regardless of the funder, for individuals who have not otherwise completed live RCR training. |

We will also explain how to kick and knee properly, as well as how to defend against arm grabs and some chokes. We then transition to defense from both arm grabs and body grabs and then explore various techniques from the ground (for example: how to defend against an assailant that is sitting on top of you). |
