School of Education graduate education degree admission requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- A completed application
- Application fee of $65
- Official transcripts from all universities or colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions (including trade schools) attended
- Two professional or academic letters of recommendation
- Resume
- Personal statement or essay

EdD in Educational Leadership and Management degree admission requirements
- Master's degree and bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Graduate GPA of 3.5 or higher
- A completed application
- Application fee of $65
- Official transcripts from all universities or colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions (including trade schools) attended
- Resume indicating at least 3 years of work experience relevant to the applicant's professional goals
- Three letters of recommendation (professional or academic) – Use the Electronic Letter of Recommendation form to submit your recommendation letters
- The EdD program also requires a three-part written submission, along with other optional supplemental materials. Please visit the EdD admissions page to review all admission requirements

PhD in Education degree admission requirements
- Master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Minimum graduate GPA of 3.25 (3.5 is preferred)
- A completed application
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Application fee of $65
- Official transcripts from all universities or colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions (including trade schools) attended
- GRE test scores are not required. TOEFL scores are required for international applicants or students who earned a degree outside the US
- Essay that describes career goals and includes research interests. The essay should include how the applicant’s research interests align with specific School of Education faculty.

- Three Letters of recommendation
- Statement of Purpose (centering on how the applicant seeks to develop research that focuses on, and includes aspects of, social justice and equity in education). The applicant should be sure to visit the School of Education’s faculty page to identify faculty members with similar research interests.

Can you address how social justice and diversity issues relate to your potential research focus?
