Drexel Joins Carnegie January 8, 2016 Drexel School of Education is playing a leading role in the work to improve doctoral education across the nation. The prestigious Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate chose Drexel as one of 80 institutions nationwide that are working together to undertake a critical examination of the doctorate in education. According to the Carnegie website, the mission of the Project is to “strengthen, improve, support and promote the CPED framework through continued collaboration and investigation.” The CPED framework consists of three components—a new definition of the EdD, a set of guiding principles for program development and a set of design-concepts that serve as program building blocks. Drexel School of Education is excited to be included in this important work to ensure that our EdD program is providing a high-quality, rigorous education and prepares graduates to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
