Oaxacan Ceramists and An American Author: A Case Study of Intercultural Communication

Dr. Weill will describe the setting and partnership with artisans and illustrators from Vietnam and Mexico. She will also explore how interactions concerning aesthetics, intercultural miscommunication, collaboration and gender benefit working relationships in cross-cultural artistic collaboration.
The discussion takes place on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 12 p.m. in One Drexel Plaza (3001 Market Street), Room 004.
The event is part of the School of Education's Global Education Colloquium, which launched in November 2013. The monthly discussions feature an expert speaking on a globally-oriented topic that is the result of research spanning the full range of learning, teaching and training topics including international studies, higher education, peace education, social justice, inequality, politics of knowledge, policy, leadership and organizational change.
