PHILADELPHIA, PA, September 26, 2013

Professor Dominic Gullo, PhD, has been appointed Associate Dean of Research for the School of Education. In addition to Gullo’s teaching duties, Gullo will now implement policies and develop resources that promote and enhance the research mission of the School of Education and Drexel University.

Gullo will serve as a resource for SOE faculty seeking to develop strategic research initiatives, and lead efforts around research-related faculty development and mentoring programs. Gullo will also serve as the liaison who creates research partnerships both internally and outside of the University; builds relationships with local, regional, and national foundations; and fosters an active research culture that encourages originality and innovation and enriches the student learning experience.

Gullo’s areas of expertise include early childhood education, particularly in students of poverty, and urban education.
