Higher Education Assistant Professor Rebecca Clothey, Ph.D., lent her insight to an article about online education published in China Daily.

Clothey is an expert on China and its higher education system, and has studied extensively the use of technology to expand educational access. She studies advances in China, particularly among the Uyghur ethnic minority members in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, where she is currently a visiting scholar. Typically, this area of China does not accept visiting scholars. She has also studied at Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China.
