New College Building Operations

Due to the closing of Hahnemann University Hospital, there is the possibility of a disruption of some services in New College Building while these activities are transitioned to new providers. The services that could be affected include custodial and maintenance service, waste/recycling removal, medical gases, HVAC contractual services, elevator services, and telephone service.

The entire Drexel administrative team is working closely with the building and hospital owners to prevent any disruption. We have developed contingency plans to minimize the impact of any disruptions should they occur.   Electrical service from the power company, PECO, will remain uninterrupted.  However, the back-up generators have been tested, are functional, and will be ready to provide emergency power should there be a temporary, external outage.
