Award

After a proposal has been accepted for funding by the sponsor, your Pre-Award Administrator leads the negotiation and acceptance of an award.

When the Notice of Award is issued, the Pre-Award Administrator works with the principal investigator to assure that acceptable terms and conditions are negotiated with the sponsor.

There are times when a sponsor may request more information after a proposal has received a fundable score but before an award is made. This is known as Just In Time (JIT) information. Your Pre-Award Administrator will help to ensure that you provide all of the requested information, then review and submit it to the sponsor on your behalf.

A notice of grant award (also referred to as a notice, NGA, NOA, NOGA or award letter) is a notification from a sponsor indicating that funding has been awarded.
