The summer of 2026 will be jam-packed with special events throughout the City of Philadelphia, including the FIFA World Cup, the Wawa Welcome America Festival and U.S. Semiquincentennial, and the 2026 MLB All-Star Game. Drexel Public Safety encourages members of our community to be aware of these events and take advantage of the following resources available to help you plan – whether you’re participating in the festivities or merely trying to navigate around them.

  • SEPTA 2026 Events Service Guide: The transit agency’s 2026 events page has details on service for major events and festivities, along with updates for everyday riders, including bus detours, modified routes, and crowded station advisories.
  • Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management Text Alerts: Sign up to receive notifications about road closures and other impacts related to the following events:

In the event of an emergency, Drexel Guardian allows the Drexel Public Safety Communications Center to immediately access important information about you — dramatically increasing the odds that they can find you and help you.
