Admission and Scholarships
We seek students whose academic and personal qualifications are of the highest order and who will become leaders in the legal profession and the community. To ensure we reach that goal, we carefully review the academic record, Law School Admission Test (LSAT) scores, and college and community activities of every applicant, as well as the recommendations of those who know each individual's accomplishments and potential.
Scholarship awards will be made with your admission decision, so you will have ample time to plan how to finance your education.
Below is a description of the various kinds of scholarships available to students. This information provides a basic description of funding resources; we encourage you to work with our Financial Aid office to get a more complete picture of the types of financial support that are available.
School of Law Merit Scholarships
We are committed to enrolling the highest caliber of students to our law school. To recruit competitive law students, we have dedicated significant financial resources to the law school’s merit-based scholarship program. The school's most prestigious merit scholarship, the Rising Advocate Scholarship, recognizes outstanding undergraduate academic achievement.
Among the school’s merit-based scholarships are scholarships for individuals who have served in the Peace Corps or Teach for America.
Students are considered for a merit scholarship when they submit an application for admission; there is not a separate scholarship application. A recipient will be notified of the award at the time of his or her offer of admission.
Courtroom Scholarship Program
The Kline School of Law offers Courtroom Scholarships, which can be as large as a full tuition scholarship, for outstanding undergraduate mock trial competitors who are admitted to the Kline School of Law.
