2L Wins Honorable Mention in Pennsylvania Bar Association IP Section Writing Competition

Leigha Santoro, a 2L, took second place honors in the 2019 Pennsylvania Bar Association Intellectual Property Section Writing Competition.  


The section will publish Santoro’s essay, “Enablement and Definiteness of Design Patents in Light of the Federal Circuit’s Precedential Decision in Maatita,” on its website and in its newsletter. The article offers insights on the standard for definiteness of design patent claims articulated by the Federal Circuit Court in a 2018 ruling.  


Santoro is a staff member of the Drexel Law Review and the director of marketing for the law school’s Intellectual Property Law Society.
