Katie Jelen, ‘10, was chosen to join Leadership Music, a professional development program for songwriters, publishers, producers, managers, publicists and others in the Nashville music scene.
The creative manager of Warner Music Group’s Synchronization Licensing division, Jelen develops new opportunities for the use of repertoire works in film, television, advertising, video games and new media.
Jelen will join 48 other professionals in the music business for eight months of discussions and workshops aimed at promoting communication, cultivating leadership and supporting networking opportunities that will enhance their careers and benefit the industry.
Other students in Jelen’s class include songwriter/performer Ana Cristina Cash, Billboard Senior Vice President Silvio Pietroluongo, songwriter James Slater, Recording Industry of American Senior Vice President Liz Kennedy Holman and Collective Artist Management Vice President Craig Dunn.
The class, representing the 30th cohort accepted for the program, will begin in September.
