Dean Daniel Filler and Professor Kevin Woodson joined colleagues from the Drexel University Criminal Justice program for a meeting with Professor Xiaoyan Huang of Nankai University on May 15.
Huang, a professor of social work and social policy, compared Chinese and U.S. justice policies during a meeting with Filler, Woodson and Professors Robert Kane and Jordan Hyatt from Drexel’s Criminal Justice program. They focused on issues related to protecting children from abuse.
Filler is an authority on juvenile justice and sex crimes. Woodson, whose scholarship explores race and class inequality, teaches Criminal Procedure: Investigations.
The gathering was the latest event in a growing relationship between the Kline School of Law and Nankai University, in Tianjin, China.
In 2016, Professor Karl Okamoto gave a representation at Nankai University School of Law on “Becoming a Great Business Lawyer.”
In 2016, Professor Robert Field visited Nankai’s School of Law to discuss health care policy in the U.S.
