Professor David S. Cohen Receives Distinguished Teaching Award

Professor David S. Cohen has been awarded the 2016-17 Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching.

The award, granted by the Office of the Provost, is the most prestigious award given by Drexel University to full-time faculty members who over the years have demonstrated the highest achievements in teaching.

Cohen is an authority on the intersection of constitutional law and gender and a member of the law school’s inaugural faculty. He teaches Constitutional Law and Sex, Gender and the Law.

The book he co-authored with alumna Krysten Connon, “Living in the Crosshairs: The Untold Stories of Anti-Abortion Terrorism,” was published in 2015.

He has been chosen by graduating students to receive the Dean Jennifer L. Rosato Excellence in the Classroom Award in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2016.  In 2015, he also received the Center for Reproductive Rights Innovation in Scholarship Award.
