Professor Donald F. Tibbs Appears at National People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference

Professor Donald F. Tibbs is serving as a moderator and presenter at the Third Annual National People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference at Seton Hall University School of Law on Sept. 9-12.

Tibbs will moderate and present at a panel, “Owed to Black Power: Law, Race and the Strange Dialectic of Hip Hop in a Post-Civil Rights America,” which will also feature William “Chip” Carter of Temple University Beasley School of Law and Tryon P. Woods of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

He will facilitate an authors’ roundtable featuring Tanya K. Hernandez of Fordham University School of Law, Richard Banks of Stanford Law School, David Dante Troutt of Rutgers School of Law–Newark, Cheryl Wade and Leonard Baynes of St. John’s University School of Law, Sheryll Cashin of Georgetown University Law Center, Steve Bender of University of Oregon Law and Sharon L. Davies of Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Finally, Tibbs will serve as commentator for a presentation on Social Vulnerability, Women and Disaster Law by Susan Kuo of the University of South Carolina School of Law.
