Dr. Madia has spent the past two decades both teaching communications and serving on the administrative side at the college level. She is currently the Associate Vice President, Marketing and Communications at New Jersey City University. Prior to that, she served as Executive Director of Communications, External Affairs and a lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her work is focused largely on the strategy of communications, with an emphasis on social media. She has authored a series of books on social media strategy designed to assist students and practitioners in using these tools effectively. She has been teaching online and in the classroom at various institutions for more than 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing Seminars from the Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Miami, and a PhD in Communications from Temple University.
