Sherrie A. Madia, PhD

Dr. Madia has spent the past two decades teaching communications and serving in administrative roles in higher education. She is currently the Vice President, Marketing and Communications at Holy Family University. Prior to that, she served as Associate Vice President, Marketing and Communications at New Jersey City University, as well as Executive Director of Communications, External Affairs and a lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her work is focused largely on the strategy of communications. She has authored a series of books on social media designed to assist students and practitioners in using these tools effectively. She has been teaching online and in the classroom at Drexel University for more than 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing Seminars from the Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Miami, and a PhD in Communications from Temple University.
