Dr. Michael Edmondson is the Associate Provost for Continued Learning at New Jersey Institute of Technology and has over 30 years of experience across a variety of functional areas (ex: operations, management, stakeholder outreach, communications, strategic planning, marketing, and administration), industries (ex: higher education, economic and workforce development, K-12 education, and consulting), and organizations (ex: non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, and for-profit businesses).
Due to his outstanding contributions to the Monmouth County community while serving as the Campus Director of NJCU @ Fort Monmouth, the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce presented Dr. Edmondson with its 2022 Distinguished Leadership Award. Additionally, due to his work with minority entrepreneurs in Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Empowerment Group presented him with its Entrepreneurship Inspiration Award in 2007.
Throughout his career, Dr. Edmondson has taught at the community college, undergraduate and graduate levels. He has taught history at Camden County College and Ocean County College, history, and political science at the undergraduate level at Cabrini College, entrepreneurship at the undergraduate level at Drexel University, various undergraduate liberal arts courses at Thomas Edison State University, strategic business communications at the graduate level at Rider University, and non-profit leadership at the graduate level at Drexel University.
Dr. Edmondson was selected to participate in and completed the 2021 AGB Institute for Leadership & Governance in Higher Education and the 2014 Council of Independent Colleges Senior Leadership Academy. Both programs are designed for administrators and Deans who aspire to senior leadership positions.
Business Experts Press has published seven books authored by Dr. Edmondson. His latest book is Embracing Ambiguity: A Workforce Training Plan for the Post-pandemic Economy (2021) and his forthcoming publication Nurturing Equanimity: Creating A Caring Culture will be published later this year. Due to his expertise and significant publishing record, Business Experts Press also appointed Dr. Edmondson to serve as the Co-Editor of its Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior Collection.
