Dave Ojijo | Kenya Dr. Dave Ojijo has over four years of experience in medical practice, climate change, and health-related advocacy. Dave is currently the chair of the Kenya Medical Association Planetary Committee and the executive director of Green Health Focus, which focuses on bridging the knowledge gap between climate and health in communities and among fellow healthcare professionals. He empowers healthcare professionals and the community through advocacy and education to understand and address the health consequences of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. His most recent speaking engagements included COP 28 in the UAE, ACS-2023, and UNEA-6, where he discussed the effects of climate change on public health. Dave is a certified negotiator with the Africa Group of Negotiators (AGNES). He has a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from Moi University in Kenya, and he is determined to use his medical background to create an adaptive, climate-resilient community and healthcare system. Dave intends to pursue a master's degree in climate change and health after completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, in order to address the impact of climate change on global health.
