Ephrem N. Kerego is a practicing medical doctor from Ethiopia, currently specializing in pediatric surgery. He has three years of experience as a primary physician, during which time his work has spanned from a remote district hospital to a trauma center in Addis Ababa. His medical interests include surgical correction of complex congenital and acquired diseases affecting children. He is also volunteer physician at the Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity Hospital. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Ephrem plans to apply his skills to establish a stoma society in Ethiopia to alleviate the suffering of people living with colostomy.
