July 14, 2023 — Researchers including Esther Chernak, MD, MPH, FACP, clinical professor and Director of the Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication (CPHRC), are developing training programs in emergency preparedness and other topics for nursing home and long-term care staff.

The project, which is running from June 2023 through June 2024, is part of a Pennsylvania Department of Health initiative that trains and empowers staff who are doing the challenging and important work of supporting some of the state's most vulnerable populations.
