Drexel was mentioned in an April 18 NJ.com article about the Philly Joy Bank, a guaranteed income pilot program that has dispersed more than $1.4 million to 250 lower-income mothers in the form of $1,000 monthly payments from the second trimester of a mother’s pregnancy to their child’s first birthday. Researchers from the Dornsife School of Public Health are evaluating the impact of the program.
