Reducing ‘Overconsumption’ of Meat and Dairy Could Cut One-Sixth of Food Emissions

Andrêa Ferreira, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in The Ubuntu Center on Racism, Global Movements and Population Health Equity at the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a Sept. 9 Eco-Business article about new data showing that a global shift towards a diet that reduces “overconsumption” in meat and dairy products could cut 17% of global food emissions annually.
