June 21, 2024

Leah Schinasi, PhD, an assistant professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a June 19 Philadelphia Inquirer article about a new study published with Simi Hoque, PhD, a professor, and Chima Hampo, a doctoral student, both in the College of Engineering, that called for efforts to understand how indoor overheating affects the health and wellbeing of people in different regions of the country and how building design standards must evolve to ensure people can find refuge indoors. The piece was re-published by ABC News, WHYY, Penn Live, GMA/Good Morning America, KRMG-Radio (Tulsa), KTIC-Radio (West Point, Nebraska), and MyCentralOregon.com, among other outlets.
