Leah Schinasi, PhD, an assistant professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a July 12 Vox article about the limited regulation protecting renters during extreme heat waves. The story was republished on July 16 by Mother Jones.

Schinasi, who studied indoor heat stress, concluded that "it can actually get hotter indoors than outside, and this is a really important environmental justice issue.”
