Childhood hunger in North Philadelphia more than triples

Mariana Chilton, PhD, a professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health and director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities, was featured in a Sept. 18 Philadelphia Inquirer story about the tripling of child poverty in North Philadelphia since 2008. Chilton was also quoted in a Sept. 14 WHYY/Newsworks.org story about the U.S. Census' poverty data.
