Speaker: Rosemary Soka, MD, MOH, Georgetown University
Dr. Rosemary Soka, Professor and Chair, Department of Human Science, School of Nursing and Health Studies, Georgetown University. She has previously held faculty positions in the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, where she directed the Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and founded and directed the Illinois Public Health Research Fellowship Program. She has served as Associate Director for Science at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and most recently directed the Office of Occupational Medicine for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and served as Chief Medical Officer. She is board certified in occupational medicine and internal medicine. Her research interests include participatory action research among high risk, low‐wage workers and in
small enterprises; intervention effectiveness evaluation; and occupational health disparities.
