EOH Research Seminar: Understanding the Health Risks of Extreme Weather

Thursday, October 29, 2026

12:30 PM-1:30 PM

Extreme weather is often studied one type at a time, yet the sequence of droughts and floods may matter for health. This Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) Research Seminar will trace evidence from childhood diarrhea studies to emerging U.S. research on hydroclimate whiplash, population exposure, and mortality.

Our speaker is Pin Wang, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor in the Department of Global, Environmental, and Occupational Health at the University of Maryland's School of Public Health.

This event is in person in Nesbitt Hall room 440 and via Zoom.
