UHC Invited Speaker Series: Benjamin H. Bradlow

Join us on February 11th, 2026 for our first Invited Speaker Series of 2026, with Benjamin H. Bradlow, Assistant Professor of Sociology & International Affairs at Princeton University.

Bradlow's research makes connections between climate change, urbanization, technological change, and the political challenges for democracy that confront societies across the globe. His award-winning first book, Urban Power: Democracy and Inequality in São Paulo and Johannesburg, was published in October 2024 by Princeton University Press. Some of his most cited papers include "Housing, institutions, money: The failures and promise of human settlements policy and practice in South Africa" and "The Long March: Deep Democracy in Cross-National Perspective."
