In Loving Communion: Critical Conversations on Racism, Health, and Healing

Wednesday, August 27, 2025

12:30 PM-1:30 PM

Join us for a community conversation with Dr. Jamila Michener titled, “Health Justice and Power: Understanding the Connections.” Dr. Michener explores the relationships between health justice and power.

She conceptually elaborates and provides empirical examples of civil, economic, and political power--demonstrating how the confluence of all three is vital to achieving the fundamental structural changes necessary to produce health equity.

"In Loving Communion: Critical Conversations on Racism, Health, and Healing” is a conversation series that extends the work of The Ubuntu Center’s core project: Illuminating and Addressing Structural Racism in the Healthcare Industry (ISR).
