Book Signing & Discussion with Health Law Scholars and Professors Robert I. Field, a professor at both the Drexel University School of Public Health and Earle Mack School of Law; and Barry R. Furrow, a professor and director of the Health Law program at the Earle Mack School of Law.
Field is the author of Mother of Invention: How the Government Created Free-Market Health Care, just released by Oxford University Press. It presents an historical overview of four key health care sectors to demonstrate the underlying importance of government programs in creating and maintaining the health care system and to place health reform in the context of an ongoing evolutionary process.
Furrow is the lead author of Health Law—Cases, Materials and Problems (now in its 7th edition), which remains the leading casebook in the field. He is also co-author of the treatise, Health Law, which the U.S. Supreme Court has cited three times.
