Daxuan Deng,
Penn State College of Medicine,
PhD candidate in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, will present
Enhancing Primary Inference through Data Integration."
In the era of big data, researchers increasingly have access to auxiliary
data alongside data of primary interest. By integrating primary and auxiliary
data, researchers can achieve more accurate conclusions in a cost-effective
manner, making data integration a rapidly growing area of interest. My research
focuses on two main types of auxiliary data: secondary outcomes within the same
study and external data from independent studies. For each type, I will present
methods for integrating auxiliary data and demonstrate the practical utility
through applications, highlighting how data integration can uncover significant
findings.
Daxuan Deng is a PhD candidate in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Penn
State College of Medicine. His research focuses on data integration and
applications in Alzheimer’s disease, aging, obesity, cancer, COVID-19, among
others.
