Learn About New Drexel Cannabis Research with Dr. Ataiants & Dr. Federova

This Drexel University Medical Cannabis Research Center event featured Janna Ataiants, DrPH, and Ekaterina Federova, DrPH.
Janna Ataiants is a Senior Research Scientist in the Dornsife School of
Public Health at Drexel University. Her research examines how gender, social
contexts, and marginalization shape drug use experiences.
Ekaterina Fedorova is also a Senior Research Scientist in the Dornsife
School of Public Health at Drexel University. Her work included psychological
counseling and research within HIV prevention cohort studies among opioid
injectors in St. Petersburg, Russia.
For the last several years, Ataiants and Federova have been a working
for a NIDA-funded cohort study of young adult cannabis users in Los Angeles.
They are currently working on the Drexel University’s Medical Cannabis Research
Center’s team as Co-Investigators on the Patient Registry Study which tracks
health trends and use patterns for medical cannabis patients in the
commonwealth.
Ataiants presented on her new manuscript titled, “Assessing
Anxiety Longitudinally Among Medical Cannabis Patients in Pennsylvania. Federova presented on her new manuscript titled, “Terpene and
Cannabinoid Profile Preferences and Cannabis Use Practices in Medical Cannabis
Patients Who Use Cannabis for Anxiety and Pain.”
