Co-designing and Implementing the Early Nurturing Responsive Care for Food Security

Please join us for this Migration, Ethnicity, Racism, and Health Group (MERHG) event featuring Dr. Gabriella Buccini, assistant professor of Social and Behavioral Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Dr. Buccini's talk will go into detail about how the strengthening maternal and child health and nutrition is critical to achieving the Healthy People 2030 Goals.
Dr. Buccini will discuss how an implementation science project utilized a community-based participatory research (CBPR) approach to co-create WITH the community the Early Responsive Nurturing Care for Food Security (EARN-FS) system-level intervention to promote equitable care for food security – (i) universal screening, (ii) referrals to access existing health-nutrition & other nurturing care resources, and (iii) care coordination to achieve pathways for food security.
Gabriela Buccini, Ph.D., MSc, IBCLC, is an Assistant Professor of Social and Behavioral Health. Dr. Buccini's academic training is focused on epidemiology, public health maternal child nutrition, and implementation science methods.
