Dr. Brandon George, PhD, MS, Assistant Professor in the College of Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University, is currently the lead of the Health Analytics concentration within the MPH degree program.

Talk Titles:

- Making the Switch: Experiences and Results from Converting a Biostatistics Course to Flipped and Online Formats for Public Health Students

- Exploring Disparities in Mortality Outcomes in Inflammatory Breast Cancer Patients Using Survival Analysis

Currently the lead of the Health Analytics concentration within the MPH degree program, Dr. George teaches courses in introductory health statistics, advanced health statistics, data wrangling and visualization, and GIS mapping.

His collaborative research has focused on health disparities across many areas of health care, particularly in cancer screening and treatment and community health, and on involving students and fellows in research projects.

Dr. George's personal research has focused on statistical pedagogy, examining how online learning content can best be integrated and deployed in classrooms of varying formats.

He recently served as the 2022 Program Chair for the American Statistical Association’s Section on Teaching Statistics in the Health Sciences, assembling the section’s program at JSM 2022 in Washington, DC.
