Dr. Jeff Raber and Peter Tejera both serve on the Community Advisory Board
for The CHAYA Project in Los Angeles which is focused on studying cannabis,
health, and young adults.
Peter Tejera holds a degree in Agricultural Economics
from Cornell University and has 25 years experience in real estate development,
retail marketing, brand development, and retail agriculture – founding two
cannabis businesses HoneyVape™ and Herbalcure™. Peter is also a founding board
member of the California Cannabis Manufacturers Association (CCMA). Dr. Jeff
Raber received his B.S. in biochemistry from Lebanon Valley College and a Ph.D.
in organic chemistry from the University of Southern California. Dr. Raber
entered the cannabis industry in 2010 and has since published 6 peer-reviewed
articles on different cannabis topics, most notably around terpenes, and now
runs The Werc Shop, a company that provides cutting-edge product testing for
cannabis products.
Peter and Jeff will talk
about the lessons learned from California’s transition and growing pains from a
medical cannabis program to having both adult-use and medical cannabis programs.
