Applying Global Public Health Practice to Local Initiatives: MCH Workforce Development

Monday, October 24, 2022

12:00 PM-1:00 PM

Orly Kerub, RN, PhD, Supervisor Regional Nurse, Ministry of Health, Israel Post-doc Research Fellow, Department of Health Systems Management, Ben Gurion University, will discuss the Israeli model of MCH public health care practice including MCH neighborhood clinics and collaborative efforts to increase equity among vulnerable MCH populations.

We will then discuss how these efforts might be implemented locally by MCH practitioners to improve outcomes.

Dr. Joan Rosen Bloch, emerita faculty at Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions, will facilitate the discussion. Dr. Rosen Bloch has studied global models of MCH public health nursing practice throughout her career and is passionate about learning how these models can inform local practice in maternal and child health.
